Monique joined the CLO Visitor Center redesign team working alongside Dr. Mya Thompson, Lisa Kopp, Chelsea Benson, Sarah Wagner, Richard McElhiney Architects LLC and C&G Partners. She co-authored and designed the new exhibits, and updated programming to help spark curiosity in visiting bird lovers.

This exhibit was the winner of the SEGD Merit Award and Sustainability Impact Recognition.

Our Places: Connecting People in Nature

The Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History invited Monique to be a contributing author for the temporary exhibit titled, Our Places: Connecting People in Nature.

This exhibit highlighted how we can safely engage the natural world that is all around us. The temporary exhibit was open from July 2022 to November 2024.


Explore how the stress response evolves, and how the evolutionary history of humans may hold the key to understanding why we respond to stress in the ways that we do.

This animated video, co-written and narrated by Monique Pipkin, is based on research by Cornell University professor Maren Vitousek and her lab and funded by the National Science Foundation.
